“32nd Anniversary” of the presentation of the Buddha Statue by His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama 

As we commemorate (GHOTON) the 90th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and celebrate 2025 as the “Year of Compassion”.  Tibet House, The Cultural Centre of H.H The Dalai Lama, New Delhi feels immense joy to celebrate“32nd Anniversary” of the presentation of the Buddha Statue by His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama to the Government and the People of India.  We invite you to kindly join us on this historic day to commemorate the 156th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and observe a Ceremony of Remembrance to  reflect upon the messages of the Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama on Peace, Compassion and Universal Ethics.

The ceremony will include a Prayer OfferingRemembrance Observance, and Reflections by Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director, Tibet House New Delhi on the lives and messages of these three great spiritual and moral leaders. We believe your presence will add meaning and grace to the occasion.

Let us come together in the spirit of compassion, non-violence, and universal responsibility — values that continue to guide humanity toward peace and mutual understanding.

One-Day National Conference on “THERAVADA AND MAHAYANA” (SERIES – V)

You’re warmly invited to attend the One-Day National Conference on Theravada and Mahayana (Series – V), organised by Tibet House, The Cultural Centre of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi as part of the yearlong celebrations commemorating the 90th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness The Great 14th Dalai Lama.  

This Academic Gathering aims to bring together Scholars, Practitioners, and Students to engage in meaningful dialogue on the Two Major Traditions of Buddhism—Theravada and Mahayana. The conference will explore their Historical Evolution, Philosophical Foundations, and Spiritual Practices, while also examining their Contemporary Relevance in addressing Ethical, Cultural, and Societal Challenges.

Through keynote addresses, paper presentations, and interactive sessions, the conference seeks to foster deeper understanding, comparative insights, and mutual appreciation between the two traditions.

By creating a platform for scholarly exchange, Tibet House hopes to encourage fresh perspectives, highlight the living wisdom of both Ttraditions, and strengthen the bridge between ancient Buddhist philosophy and modern-day contexts.
