One-Day National Conference on “THERAVADA AND MAHAYANA” (SERIES – V)

You’re warmly invited to attend the One-Day National Conference on Theravada and Mahayana (Series – V), organised by Tibet House, The Cultural Centre of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi as part of the yearlong celebrations commemorating the 90th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness The Great 14th Dalai Lama.

This Academic Gathering aims to bring together Scholars, Practitioners, and Students to engage in meaningful dialogue on the Two Major Traditions of Buddhism—Theravada and Mahayana. The conference will explore their Historical Evolution, Philosophical Foundations, and Spiritual Practices, while also examining their Contemporary Relevance in addressing Ethical, Cultural, and Societal Challenges.

Through keynote addresses, paper presentations, and interactive sessions, the conference seeks to foster deeper understanding, comparative insights, and mutual appreciation between the two traditions.

By creating a platform for scholarly exchange, Tibet House hopes to encourage fresh perspectives, highlight the living wisdom of both Ttraditions, and strengthen the bridge between ancient Buddhist philosophy and modern-day contexts.
