INDO TIBETAN ART AND CULTURE STUDY GROUP MEMBERS

This photo depicts a meeting of Indo-Tibetan Art and Culture Study Group members addressed by
His Holiness the Dalai Lama on the 15th of August 1991 at Tibet House.

This group was formed in 1985 to cater to the needs and desires of the people of Delhi and the visitors who wish to learn about Tibetan and Buddhist studies. The members meet every month to listen to and discuss lectures by well-known scholars from India and abroad on the subjects related to Tibetan and Buddhist studies; such as culture and history, art and archaeology, philosophy and religion, medicine, music etc. Films related to Tibet and Buddhism is also screened from time to time.
