Tibet House, The Cultural Centre of His Holiness the Dalai Lama,New Delhi cordially invites you to commemorate Buddha Purnima Day (Vesak)with a special ceremonial Undertaking of Aspirational Bodhisattva Vows.  We extend our sincere appreciation to the DGNM office, National Museum, New Delhi for graciously granting special permission to open the Buddhist Section of the National Museum on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, in commemoration of this sacred day.

This sacred ceremony will be conducted in English by Venerable Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director, Tibet House, New Delhi. Your presence will be a source of inspiration as we gather in reverence to reflect upon the eternal wisdom of the Buddha. This is a time for personal renewal and collective spiritual practice, as we aspire to embody the virtues of compassion and wisdom in our thoughts, words, and actions.

We look forward to your esteemed presence as we celebrate this sacred day together.

Programme Overview:

1)  Visit to Pay Homage to the Buddha Relics at National Museum, New Delhi on Monday, 12th May 2025 from 03:00 PM – 04:30 PM (IST)

* Attendees are requested to report by 02:45 PM at the Main Gate
* A short prayer session will be led by Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul to pay homage to the sacred Buddha Relics
* Refreshments will be served in the canteen following events.

2)  Undertaking the Ceremony of Aspirational Bodhisattva Vows at Tibet House, Lodhi Road, New Delhi from 06:00 PM – 08:00 PM (IST)

* To be led in English by Ven. Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director of Tibet House, New Delhi
* Join us online in the Zoom Meeting (For Virtual Participants only)
* Live streaming on Tibet House Youtube Channel: TibetHouseDelhi1965* with simultaneous interpretation in Hindi, Russian, French and Ladakhi
